제목 수정진동자를 이용한 유기산의 결정화 측정
초록 The cooling crystallization of lauric acid dissolved in n-propyl alcohol-water mixture (50 vol. %) is monitored using a quartz crystal resonator. The solution is made at a temperature of 50 °C, and the solution is cooled at a given rate to examine how the crystallization proceeds. The variation of the resonant frequency of the QCR is investigated by comparing with the microscopic observation of the resonator surface. The comparison indicates that the monitoring of the frequency can tell when the crystallization begins and the crystal grows as the solution temperature drops. The observation shows that the crystalline shape of the lauric acid is different from inorganic salt crystals.
