초록 |
Methane reforming processes, partial oxidation (POX) and dry reforming process are investigated using an arc reactor. The arcreactor is optically accessible and is fabricated with a variable arc length. The poweris suppliedto the reactor by two power suppliesto generate different plasma conditions. Theplasma conditions are characterized by optical emission spectroscopy(OES) test TheOEStest shows that generation of reactive radicals and ions was noticeably affected by the voltage-current conditions of the power supply. The reformingresult shows that the POX is sensitively influenced by the thermal conditions such as electrical current and gas residence time, whereas the dry reforming is not enhanced by simply modifying the thermal conditions. The consecutive tests including optical diagnostics reveal that CO2 decomposition process is the key step for the dry reforming process and can be enhanced by plasma chemistry. |
